The event itself already begins in the village of Ruka, from there participants, friends along for the ride, and other spectators are transported with shared transportation to the start location and in due time after the event, back to the village of Ruka. In between, we’ll enjoy a larger dose of swimming and recovery at the finish area. Story telling, speculation, and sharing one’s experiences is a vital part of the event.
To take part, you do not have to be a rustproof ironwoman or -man. No, the minimum required skills are decent swimming skills and endurance fitness.
